Rooftop – The Ides Bar
Wythe Hotel was love at first sight! You feel the magic when you walk in. An old textile factory converted into an amazing looking hotel. It’s clear that every detail has been thought through. Brick walls, huge glass windows with great window coverings. No wonder that Leonardo diCaprio likes to hangout here often. And so do we. Duh.
Go to the top of the Wythe hotel (Rooftop bar Ides) and head straight for the bar on the right. When you step out of the elevator, you immediately see the breathtaking skyline ahead of you. The top of this hotel has one of the best views in the city, in our opinion. This is what we would consider to be Williamsburg’s premier spot for cocktails. The view’s not the only attractive draw, the bartenders could have passed for Calvin Klein models. Oh. Mah. Gah.
What kind of crowd? The vibe inside compliments the neighborhood – young, hipster. Lots and lots of beautiful people AND selfies everywhere.
Whyte Hotel also has a restaurant, Reynard. First of all the ambiance of this place is phenomenal: romantic, rustic but modern, clean, beautiful. Its a gorgeous space with attention paid to all the details, not your neighborhood take-away spot. Everything was cooked perfectly and the coolest service. This is a perfect place for 20-35 year olds that want to have a great time, to see and be seen by the who’s who of NYC. Eat here. You will be glad you did.
Dear Wythe Hotel, if only we could move in. We would be awesome tenants.
