This post is dedicated to the book ‘How to be a Parisian wherever you are: love, style and bad habits.’ I was definitely inspired by the book when I pulled this ‘Parisian’ look together. Wandering around on high heels in Nolita I felt like a chic Parisian lady. Yes, felt like it but how can I own it?

Caroline de Maigret teamed up with her three best friends to pen this awesome guide if you aspire to become a true Parisienne. It’s your passport to authentic Parisian chic. Believe me, you really want to read this book. These modern Parisiennes say what you don’t expect to hear, just the way you want to hear it. Confusing subjects of clothes, makeup, men, culture and lifestyle as only a true Parisienne can. You’ll be entertained and inspired from cover to cover!

My favorite quotes:

“Always be fuckable: when standing in line at the bakery on a Sunday morning, buying champagne in the middle of the night, or even picking the kids up from school. You never know.”

“Embrace your inner snob. (Because let’s face it, that’s who you are)”

“The Parisienne is never satisfied.”

“The Parisienne is arrogant.”

“The Parisienne already knows what she must think: the opposite of what you think, no matter what.”

‘Find “your” perfume before you turn thirty. Wear it for the next thirty years”

“Enjoy the face you have today. It’s the one you’ll wish you have 10 years from now.”

“In short, you’re not a slave to the cult of the perfect body—so learn to make the best of what nature gave you.”
